Returning to My Roots at Portland’s Hot Movement Studio

Barre and Hot Power Yoga at West Coast Fitness

Starting November, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be teaching exclusively at West Coast Fitness in their Hot Movement Studio! After months of freelancing across Oregon and Washington, I’m thrilled to return to my roots—both to Portland (where I was born & raised) AND to hot yoga where my fitness journey began.

CorePower Yoga 200-Hr Teacher Training Certificate of Completion 2012

Back in 2012, I completed my 200-Hour Training at CorePower Hot Yoga. What started as a personal practice to navigate tough times blossomed into a passion for Power Vinyasa, which transformed my body, mind, and ultimately my career. As Baron Baptiste said, “Our yoga practice might start out being about ourselves, but eventually we outgrow that. The great masters are those who make their practice about others.” Teaching has allowed me to share this transformation with others, and it’s been the most rewarding part of my journey.

I’ll be teaching Hot Power Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm. This class is a fitness-forward, fast-paced blend of Vinyasa flow with the athleticism of Ashtanga in a room heated to 95°F. Beginners are always welcome!

I’m also teaching Barre Fusion on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15pm and Sundays at 12pm. This class combines the grace of ballet with yoga, Pilates, and functional fitness, all in an 80°F room, creating a balance of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness suitable for all levels.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the West Coast Fitness community, recently voted a 2024 Next Door Neighborhood Fave! The gym has everything: top-notch equipment, amazing trainers, a Recovery Zone with red light, sound wave and magnetic field therapy, and an amazing lineup of group classes in both the gym and the hot studio.

Not a member? No problem—drop in or grab a punch pass. I can’t wait to sweat with you!
