The Tabletop or Hover Side Thigh Series targets the abductors, adductors, glute medius, outer hip, and side body stabilizers through hip extensions like Fire Hydrants and straight side leg lifts, as well as rotational patterns.
Many standing side thigh moves can be adapted to this position, making it a strong option for Pilates-inspired or mat-based fusion formats. It also combines well with Core work (Bird Dog, elbow taps) and Glutes (Attitude or leg extensions).
Framework Tip
Looped bands above the knees add abduction resistance, a ball between the knees supports adduction, and gliders under the feet can challenge stability with sliding side taps or extensions.
